Kidsland
Our curriculum
At Kidsland DayCare Center we are founded with the idea that we are more than caregivers, we are educators. A role we take on with great responsibility and passion. We provide a great learning experience through the Creative Curriculum, focusing on the following 5 main principles:

Areas of Development
The curriculum is also focused on 4 main Areas of development, Social Emotional Development, Physical Development, Language Development and Cognitive Development
Language Development
Is the ability to listen to, understand and use words. It involves learning about the structure and sequence of speech sounds, vocabulary, grammar and rules of engaging in appropriate and effective conversation.
Social Emotional Development
During the preschool years this area of development involves socialization, or learning social norms and customs and becoming a member of a community. It includes learning how to interact with adults and children in ways that support all other areas of learning.
Cognitive Development
This area influences the child’s ability to process information and experiences. As well as the ability to process information, remember, classify, solve problems, acquire language, read and understand mathematics.
Physical Development
This area includes childrens’ gross motor (large-muscle) and fine motor (small-muscle) skills. Balance; coordination; and locomotion, or traveling, are part of the gross-motor development. Similarly, fine-motor skills progress from the child grabbing an object with his whole hand, picking up a small item with his thumb and index finger, and eventually controlling the hand muscles needed for writing.

Kidsland
Daycare Center
Our curriculum for infants, toddlers and two year olds focuses on routines and experiences. These routines and experiences are modified to meet the needs for each age group.
All three age groups have different schedules but are all divided into routines such as:
- Hellos and goodbyes
- Diaper changes and going to the bathroom
- Meal times
- Nap or rest time
- Getting dressed
As well as experiences such as:
- Playing with toys
- Imaginary play
- Enjoying books and stories
- Connecting through music and movement
- Creating art
- Tasting and preparing foods
- Exploring sand and water
- Exploring the outdoors
Here are some of the things we do to meet their needs throughout the day.
- Each of the schedules are flexible and adaptable to meet individual child needs. We establish a slow rhythm and make sure our day is child guided.
- We assign sufficient time to do the routines and play experiences and transitions.
- We provide a balance between active and calm moments.
- Nap or rest time
- Children have the opportunity to enjoy independent play (although supervised) or with a small group and the teacher
